Superhero Spotlight: Dr. Tamara New
Dr. New is a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, where she leads Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives in patient care. As an advocate for patients facing sickle cell, she makes it her mission to ensure they have the best quality of life possible. The best part of her job? Caring for kids. "How can you have a bad day when you can make a child laugh or get a high five?".

We are inspired by the nearly 17 million Americans who have bravely faced cancer and are recognizing six small, but mighty, survivors who were treated at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. Aflac will continue its commitment to bring much needed funding and awareness to childhood cancer.
